Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our team and support the smooth operation of our catering services. This role involves serving guests, and ensuring high standards of hospitality and food safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in catering or hospitality environments, with a passion for delivering excellent customer service. This position is weekends only and offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic and friendly team. This position is weekend only with flexability to do overtime during the holidays.
Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner
- Set up catering events, including arranging tables, utensils, and serving stations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the catering area before, during, and after events
- Support with stock management, including replenishing supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Provide excellent customer service by attending to guest needs promptly and courteously
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless event execution
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or restaurant environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Experience in serving or barista roles is advantageous but not essential
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or evenings if required
