These graduate internships offer an invaluable opportunity to work as an Engagement Assistant at either the Higher Education Progression Partnership South Yorkshire (HeppSY) or the Higher Education Progression Partnership (HEPP). HEPP & HeppSY works across South Yorkshire to encourage more children, young people, and adults to consider higher education opportunities.
What does this role require?
As part of this role, you will:
lead the delivery of HEPP/HeppSY programmes and assist with the coordination and evaluation of our initiatives
plan and prepare materials and activities for projects and in-school workshops
collaborate with staff and learners across the regions’ secondary schools and further education institutions
provide accurate and impartial information on higher education to targeted young people
lead student ambassadors across our initiatives
create and develop materials for projects and social media channels
complete related administrative tasks including data gathering, record keeping and report writing
What experience and skills does a Graduate Intern need?
The ability and confidence to engage an audience of young people is essential, alongside excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills; a positive and flexible approach; and the ability to work accurately and independently.
