Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and installing loft conversions and garden rooms.
Responsibilities
- Construct, assemble, and install bespoke wooden structures such as doors, windows, partitions, and roof structures.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of projects.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and efficiently.
- Fitting of steel beems.
- Undertake roofing work where necessary, including fitting trusses or sheathing.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and components safely using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Assist with masonry work when needed to support construction projects.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency on-site.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines whilst adhering to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry, joinery, or related trades such as roofing, plastering or tiling.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to construction processes.
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of roofing techniques is desirable but not essential.
- Experience with commercial driving is advantageous for transportation purposes.
- Good understanding of safety procedures within construction environments.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to read technical drawings accurately.
- Relevant qualifications in carpentry or joinery are preferred but not mandatory if extensive experience is demonstrated.
