Job Overview
We are currently seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our team for a full time and permanent position. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial role in supporting our warehouse operations especially during peak periods.
Duties
- Handle goods within the warehouse up to 30kg
- Operate forklifts for moving goods (if you hold the relevant license)
- Assist in building, loading, and unloading shipments using pump trucks
- Packing orders ensuring a high level of accuracy whilst doing so
- Put away inbound deliveries in the correct locations
- General warehouse duties
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks as required
Requirements
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment is highly advantageous
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently is advantageous but not required
- You MUST be able to read, listen and understand instructions from the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor
- Capability to build, load, and unload shipments effectively
- Skilled in shipping, receiving, picking, and packing tasks
- Physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting duties
You MUST be punctual, reliable and be able to work as part of a team.
This position is 40 hours per week including Sundays 8am-2pm. You will have a day off in the week as well as Saturday off. These positions will start ASAP. £12.75 per hour. Successful candidates will be invited to a trial shift within 2 weeks of application. Unfortunately due to the high volume of applicants, we are unable to reply to unsuccessful candidates.
