The Role – Junior Sous Chef
We are looking for an exceptional Junior Sous Chef to join the opening leadership team at MA/NA.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Junior Sous Chef who is ready to take the next step within one of London's most exciting premium Japanese restaurants.
Working closely with the Executive Chef,Head Chef and Sous Chef,the Junior Sous Chef will play a key role in leading kitchen service,mentoring junior chefs and ensuring every plate leaving the kitchen reflects the highest standards of quality,consistency and precision.
The Junior Sous Chef will be expected to lead by example,remain calm under pressure and help build a positive,professional kitchen culture where development and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.
What You'll Be Doing

Supporting the day-to-day running of the kitchen alongside the senior leadership team.
- Leading sections during service whilst maintaining exceptional quality and consistency.
- Coaching,developing and motivating junior chefs.
- Assisting with ordering,stock control and minimising waste.
- Maintaining the highest food safety and hygiene standards.
- Helping deliver beautifully executed Japanese dishes with absolute attention to detail.
- Supporting menu development and continuous improvement.
Ensuring service remains organised,calm and efficient,even during busy periods.

We're Looking For Someone Who
-
Has previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef or an experienced Senior Chef de Partie ready for the next step.
- Has worked within premium restaurants,luxury hospitality or high-volume quality operations.
- Demonstrates excellent knowledge of Japanese cuisine or has a genuine passion to develop within it.
- Leads with humility,professionalism and positivity.
- Thrives in fast-paced services without compromising standards.
- Is passionate about mentoring and developing others.
Takes pride in every detail and consistently strives for excellence.
