Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable Casual Driver to join our Logistics department.
In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering and picking up specimen samples from various locations (around a radius of 1hr), ensuring timely service and excellent customer interactions.
This position offers flexibility and an opportunity to be a vital part of our logistics operations, supporting the delivery of kits to customers and samples to the onsite laboratory.
The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as carrying bags and boxes.
Other duties include
- Load and unload items, often requiring manual handling
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents during transit
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies throughout each shift
- Assisting with making kits in the logistics department in between collections
This role would be to work Friday's and Saturday's either 8am - 4pm OR 9am - 5pm. There is potential to work more during the week around candidates availability.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 14.0 – 21.0 per week
