Teaching Assistant - Solihull
The role of Teaching Assistant:
- Working one-to-one and within small groups in a SEMH school in Solihull
- Supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, or challenging behaviour
- Working under the guidance of the SENDCO and class teacher
- De-escalating challenging behaviours confidently
The ideal Teaching Assistant:
- Enthusiastic, hard-working and highly motivated
- Able to work independently with a student on a 1-to-1 basis or with groups
- Flexible and focused, committed to supporting SEND pupils
- Prior experience within a specialist setting (desirable)
- Confident de-escalating associated challenging behaviours
Long-term role starting ASAP and continuing into September. Day-to-day, short/long-term supply and permanent opportunities available.
