We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join our growing hydraulic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for machining, repairing and manufacturing components used in hydraulic cylinders, Pumps, Valves and associated equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys working in a hands on engineering environment.
Experience of CNC lathes and mills would be advantageous but not necessary as the majority of the work will be using Manual Lathes.

Key Responsibilities
Operate Conventional Manual Lathes, Milling Machines and other workshop equipment.
Manufacture and refurbish hydraulic cylinder components, Including Rods, Tubes, Glands & Pistons.
Carry out precision machining to tight tolerances.
Inspect completed work using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and bore guages.
Assist with hydraulic cylinder strip-down, repair, and assembly when required.
Requirements.
Proven experience operating manual lathes and milling machines.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience working to close tolerances and producing high quality finished components.
Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Desirable Skills.
Previous experience within the hydraulic repair or hydraulic manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of hydraulic cylinder assembly and repair process.
