We are looking for a proactive and experienced Assistant Practice Manager to support the Practice Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of our private dental practices in Biggin Hill and Bellingham.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining practice management, team support and dental nursing responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Dental Nurse looking to progress into practice management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Practice Manager with daily practice operations.
- Provide leadership and support to the nursing and wider practice team.
- Provide nursing cover for sickness, holidays and staffing gaps when required.
- Support rotas, staffing and annual leave planning.
- Assist with compliance, audits and maintaining high practice standards.
- Monitor treatment plans, open cases and unbooked patients.
- Support membership plans, Prevora and referral performance.
- Support reception and other areas of the practice when required.
- Follow up maintenance, equipment and facilities issues.
- Identify operational problems and recommend practical solutions.
- Monitor practice KPIs and provide regular updates to the Practice Manager.
- Help maintain a professional, efficient and patient-focused environment.
About You
- Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant dental practice experience.
- Previous Lead/Senior Dental Nurse or management experience is desirable.
- Experience in a private dental practice is desirable.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Proactive, reliable and able to take ownership.
- Comfortable working in a busy practice environment.
- Confident supporting both clinical and operational responsibilities.
- Strong team player with good leadership skills.
Please note: This is not a purely administrative role. The successful candidate must be comfortable providing dental nursing support when required.
