We are looking for a reliable, professional, and safety-conscious School Minibus Driver to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of students, ensuring a high standard of care and customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and other authorised locations.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects promptly.
- Ensure the safety, welfare, and comfort of all passengers.
- Maintain a professional and courteous manner when dealing with students, parents, school staff, and colleagues.
- Comply with all road traffic legislation, company policies, and safeguarding procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Valid PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
- Excellent driving record and commitment to safe driving practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively within a school environment.
DBS Requirements
As this role involves working with children, an Enhanced DBS Check is required. The company will arrange and pay for the initial DBS application. Successful candidates will be required to maintain their DBS through the DBS Update Service, with the annual subscription cost being the responsibility of the employee.
Hours and Pay
- 16 hours per week
- £14.00 per hour
- There may be additional ad hoc hours available, depending on workload and operational requirements, offering opportunities for extra earnings.
