Part Time Ghost Walk Host – Bristol & Gloucestershire (Extours) 4 hour pw contract
Up to 8-16 hours/week (potential to increase based on experience and demand)
Extours is expanding, and we’re looking for a confident, engaging individual to join our team as a Ghost Walk Host, delivering immersive after-dark experiences.
This regional role covers Bristol, Bath, Tewkesbury, Gloucester and Cheltenham. Applicants must be within reasonable driving distance of these locations and have access to a vehicle.
This is not a theatrical role. We’re looking for someone who can connect with people, tell stories with authenticity, and create an atmosphere that feels grounded, engaging, and memorable.
A driving license is essential for this role. We are hoping to find someone who will want to become a big part of the team and grow with us on our journey to be the biggest and the best.

The Role
- Deliver guided ghost walks in Bristol, Gloucestershire and and other areas.
- Lead small groups through historic locations
- Share researched stories with confidence and clarity
- At selected stops, assist with optional paranormal investigation elements
- Represent the Extours brand with professionalism and warmth
Training & Hiring Timeline (Important)
To give applicants clarity, this role follows a structured training and sign-off process.
Initial Training & Shadowing
The first training sessions on initial locations will take place on:
- Saturday 25 July 2026
- Thursday 30 July 2026
These sessions focus on:
- Understanding delivery style and tone
- Learning routes and locations
- Shadowing live walk delivery
This is an additional preparation and confidence-building session ahead of joining the official rota.
From this point, the host joins the scheduled rota, with continued support and sign-off from the Regional Operations Coordinator.
Interviews are planned for 21st July. We usually receive a very high level of applications and might finish the ad early if this proves to be the case so please ensure to get your application and cover letter in asap.
Ongoing Work
- Evening work, with a mix of weekday and weekend dates
- Regular rota once signed off (Friday-Saturday one week =Thursday -Sunday the following week.
- Further locations will be added over time

- Interest in history, folklore, or storytelling (formal qualifications not required)
- Able to work independently once trained
