About the Role
Menwinnion Country House is a 40‑bed residential care home in Lamorna, providing nutritious meals that support the wellbeing of our residents. We’re looking for an enthusiastic Cook to join our friendly team and help deliver high‑quality meals every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily food preparation (chopping, peeling, portioning)
- Cooking and follow menus
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and infection‑control standards
- Help with plating, serving meals, and preparing snacks or special diets
- Assist with stock rotation, inventory checks, and restocking
- Work closely with care staff to meet residents’ dietary needs
Experience & Skills
- Kitchen or catering experience preferred
- Basic food prep knowledge and understanding of hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently during busy periods
- Positive attitude, good teamwork, and willingness to learn
- Experience with dietary requirements (soft diets, allergies) is helpful
MA DBS is required for this position
