We are looking for a motivated and reliable Goods Inwards Storekeeper to play a key role in our warehouse and logistics operation. You will be responsible for receiving, checking, booking in and storing materials, ensuring inventory accuracy and supporting the smooth flow of materials to production.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse or stores experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in accuracy, organisation and teamwork.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Receive, inspect and safely unload incoming deliveries.
- Book goods into the ERP LN system accurately and efficiently.
- Identify and report shortages, discrepancies or damaged goods.
- Put stock away into designated locations and maintain accurate records.
- Operate FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation processes.
- Use barcode scanners, printers and warehouse systems to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Support inspection-controlled receipts and liaise with Purchasing, Quality and other departments when issues arise.
- Notify internal customers when deliveries are available for collection.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and support 5S activities.
- Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures, including manual handling and safe use of storage systems and equipment.
Working week: Monday – Thursday 07:30 – 16:30 / Fridays 07:30 – 12 noon.
Skills required:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stores or logistics role.
- Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work safely and follow procedures.
- Flexible approach and willingness to support wider logistics activities
Desirable Skills:
- Experience using ERP systems, preferably ERP LN.
- Forklift Truck Licence.
- Experience using barcode scanning equipment.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment.
