Asbestos Building Surveys - Glasgow G74
Asbestos Building Surveys (ABS) are a leading asbestos consultancy covering the UK and based in East Kilbride. ABS provide the full spectrum of Asbestos Consultancy services, including UKAS accredited asbestos surveying, sampling and bulk analysis. They pride themselves on their team-based approach, keeping accuracy and client satisfaction as central to all that they do.
Due to continued expansion and internal promotion, ABS are looking to add to our experienced tea, to recruit a Trainee Asbestos Surveyor.
Surveyor duties include but are not limited to:
- Building inspections to include management & refurbishment surveys
- Produce Asbestos Survey reports through data input to tablet-based surveying system.
- Familiarity and compliance with all asbestos relevant legislation
- Liase with tenants and client representatives in a professional manner
- Participate in continual improvement programmes to improve efficiency or quality and to highlight any issues that may be detrimental to, or pose a risk to the environment or OH&S.
- Completion of mandatory quality control checks as part of our UKAS system
- Referral of any potential work to management team members and ensuring that any upcoming major projects are provided for
- Accurately record sample information onto sample bags & sample labels
- Assisting with Operational Support admin tasks such as survey plan production and data entry on an ad hoc basis in line with departmental needs
- Any other reasonable duties as requested by members of the Operational Support management team
Desired Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
- BOHS P402 Asbestos Surveying preferred however training can be provided
- 0-2 years’ experience in Asbestos Surveying
- Understanding on Asbestos and where it can be found
- Knowledge in technical buildings/ property and H&S terminology
- Ideally, experience working with Alpha Tracker Software but not essential
