Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and hardworking Shot Blast Cabinet Operative to join our friendly and experienced Remanufacturing Workshop team.
This is an important hands-on role within our production process. You will be responsible for operating a large industrial shot-blast cabinet and preparing HGV wheel hub components for inspection and remanufacturing.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Friday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
- No weekend working as part of the standard working week
Your Responsibilities
- Operating a large industrial shot-blast cabinet safely and efficiently
- Cleaning and preparing HGV wheel hub components for remanufacturing
- Inspecting components before and after blasting
- Identifying and reporting visible defects or damage
- Ensuring components are cleaned thoroughly and consistently
- Using hand tools and other workshop equipment
- Loading, positioning and moving components using the lifting equipment provided
- Carrying out routine equipment checks and keeping the cabinet clean
- Monitoring blast media levels and reporting maintenance requirements
- Working closely with other departments to maintain an efficient workflow
- Helping the team complete customer orders and meet production requirements
- Maintaining a clean, organised and professional working environment
- Following all company health and safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in shot blasting, manufacturing, engineering or a workshop environment would be beneficial
- A practical and hands-on approach to work
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Good communication and organisational skills
- The ability to remain calm and focused in a busy production environment
- A reliable, responsible and safety-conscious attitude
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- The ability to safely handle components using the lifting equipment provided
- The right to work in the UK
Previous experience working with HGV components is not essential, as product-specific training will be provided.
