Purpose of the role:
The Charity Shop Manager will provide temporary management cover during a period of long-term sickness and will be responsible for the effective day-to-day operation of our charity shops in Llantwit Major and Barry.
Working 37 hours per week, including Saturdays, the postholder will lead, support and develop a diverse team of volunteers. They will ensure that both shops are welcoming, safe, well organised and commercially successful.
The manager will recruit, induct and train volunteers, coordinate rotas and arrange suitable cover. They will also develop relationships within both communities, encourage good-quality donations and ensure that visitors can access appropriate information about Mind in the Vale of Glamorgan’s services and other sources of support.
Regular travel between the two shops is required. The postholder must therefore hold a valid driving licence and have access to suitable transport.
Hours: 37 hours a week
Salary: £30,000 per annum
