Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House team member to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a vibrant hospitality environment. This role involves engaging with customers, ensuring smooth service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous restaurant or catering experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. Duties
- Welcome guests warmly and manage reservations or seating arrangements efficiently
- Take orders accurately and relay them promptly to the kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism and attentiveness
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to during service and food preparation
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required, supporting kitchen staff as needed
- Upsell menu items to maximise guest satisfaction and revenue opportunities
- Handle payments accurately using the POS system and provide correct change or receipts
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including clearing tables promptly
- Provide excellent guest services by responding courteously to customer queries or concerns
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations throughout the shift
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or food-related roles is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the industry
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and basic food preparation techniques is beneficial
- Familiarity with serving procedures, guest service standards, and upselling techniques will enhance performance
- Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work well under pressure in a lively environment while maintaining a friendly demeanour
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Experience in culinary settings or kitchen environments can be an asset but is not essential
