Stratton & Hesler Ltd is looking for experienced self-employed Fire Door & 2nd Fix Carpenters to join our team on a new-build residential development in N5. The project is a 4-storey residential building comprising 72 apartments.
There is a good volume of work available with an immediate start and approximately 6 months' continuous work for the right operatives.
Work includes:
- Installing fire doors
- Fitting ironmongery
- Skirting boards
- Architraves
- General second-fix carpentry
- Final fix carpentry
All doors are already loaded out to the work areas.
Operatives are expected to keep their work areas clean and tidy and clear away all waste at the end of each shift.
Pay and price work:
- Price work only - no dayworks
- Earning guide: £240 per day for experienced, productive carpenters
- Example price: single fire door including cutting and fitting architrave - £60
- Consistent workload available for approximately 6 months
Requirements:
- Minimum Blue CSCS Skilled Worker card
- Experienced second-fix carpenters only
- Fire door installation experience
- Proven experience fitting fire doors and ironmongery
- Own tools
- Own transport
- CIS registered
- Right to work in the UK
