Job Description:
The Lynchmead herd of Pedigree Holstein Friesians are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Milker/Yardsperson to join our team. If you are passionate about working with animals and have a keen interest in dairy farming, this is an excellent opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
- Perform milking duties using modern milking equipment
- Monitor and ensure the health and welfare of dairy cows
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the milking parlor and yard
- Assist with feeding and care of livestock
- Operate farm machinery and equipment as required
- Perform general farm maintenance and yard work
- Adhere to farm safety protocols and procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience in dairy farming
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of animal welfare & hygiene
- Physically fit and able to handle the demands of farm work
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
