Role Purpose
This is an exciting new role, and we are looking for the right person to bring our events calendar to life while strengthening community and corporate support for the hospice.
Corporate & Community Partnerships Fundraiser will play a key role in helping Rossendale Hospice sustain and grow its services by delivering engaging, well-planned fundraising events and building meaningful relationships with local businesses, community groups, and supporters.
Working closely with the Fundraising Manager, the post-holder will be responsible for planning, organising and delivering a minimum of three major fundraising events per year, alongside developing a programme of community fundraising activity and supporting corporate partnerships. This is a hands-on role for someone who is creative, organised, and passionate about making a difference.
Key Responsibilities
Income Generation
· Drive corporate and community partnerships to increase income year-on-year from current levels, including delivering at least five additional local community events annually that generate a net profit of £7,000 each
· Maximise return on investment across all corporate and community partnerships, ensuring income targets are met or exceeded
· Identify opportunities to grow income through increased corporate and community participation, sponsorship, workplace giving, lottery and community engagement
· Support pipeline development of new fundraising opportunities across local corporate and community networks
Community & Corporate Partnerships
· Support the development and management of relationships with corporate partners, local businesses, and community groups
· Help grow workplace giving, sponsorship, lottery and volunteering opportunities
· Build meaningful partnerships that align with the hospice’s mission and values
· Deliver engaging partnership and supporter journeys to encourage long-term support
Supporter & Volunteer Engagement
· Recruit, brief and support volunteers involved in fundraising events and initiatives
· Coordinate supporter engagement activity and stewardship journeys
· Build strong relationships with fundraisers, volunteers, and donors
· Act as a positive ambassador for Rossendale Hospice across the community
Marketing & Promotion
· Work with colleagues to promote events and campaigns through digital channels, print, social media, and local networks
· Support the development of engaging materials and communications
· Ensure consistent and compelling messaging about the hospice’s impact
Compliance & Governance
· Ensure all fundraising events comply with relevant legislation, GDPR, and fundraising regulations
· Maintain accurate records of income, supporter engagement, and activity
Support reporting on fundraising performance, partnerships, and impact
Person Specification
Essential
· Experience of planning and delivering events (charity, community or commercial)
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
· Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
· Proactive, enthusiastic and solution-focused approach
· Commitment to the values and mission of Rossendale Hospice
· Full driving licence
Desirable
· Experience in fundraising or the charity sector
· Experience developing partnerships with businesses or community groups
· Experience working with volunteers
· Strong local knowledge and community connections
· Experience managing budgets and income targets
· Confident using IT systems and social media for promotion
