Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team. Working Monday - Friday 6pm -8pm in Leeds city center, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in an office setting, commercial premises. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring environments are safe, welcoming, and well-presented. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and prior janitorial or commercial cleaning experience to contribute to a professional setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces to high standards
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll as needed
- Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure it is stored safely after use
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or hazards
- Report any maintenance issues or damages identified during cleaning duties
- Adhere to company policies regarding cleaning protocols and confidentiality
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within allocated timeframes
- Good organisational skills and reliability
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices is advantageous
