Salon Manager — Studio 74, Peterborough
Experienced stylist-manager to take real ownership of the salon
£34,000–£38,000/year (£17.44–£19.49/hr, depending on experience and hours) + bonus, commission, tips

Studio 74 is an established, thriving salon in Peterborough with 15 years of history, a loyal client base and solid systems already in place. We're not looking for someone to build a salon from scratch — we're looking for someone to take ownership of one that already works, and make it theirs.
You'll work on the floor as a stylist while running the salon day-to-day: the team, the culture, the standards, the systems. This is a genuine leadership role with real authority, not a supervisor title with none of the power.
What you'll own:
Team & culture
- Lead and manage the existing team — hire, coach, appraise
- Run regular one-to-ones and staff meetings
- Handle any conduct, performance or grievance issues directly
- Build a team culture people want to be part of
Salon operations
- Run rotas, bookings, stock and salon software (Salon IQ)
- Act as duty manager — the go-to person on the floor
- Maintain standards across service quality, hygiene and presentation
- Handle client concerns and resolve issues on the spot
Business & growth
- Work directly with the owner on revenue and growth plans
- Implement owner-led promotions in-salon — brief the team and ensure staff are promoting them to every client
- Own team KPIs — utilisation, retention, rebooking — and act on them: coach individuals, adjust targets, and drive the changes needed to hit financial targets
What you need:
- Qualified stylist with 3+ years floor experience
- Confident leading a team and handling people issues, staying organised without oversight
- Able to take ownership of the day-to-day from the start, without needing to be micromanaged
