Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality and Procurement Assistant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting procurement activities, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring seamless integration with various systems. Prior experience with Procore, Eque 2, Xero, and Sharepoint including competent excel and forms knowledge is highly desirable. Duties
- Assist in the procurement process by sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, and negotiating favourable terms to optimise costs and quality.
- Support the management of purchase orders within ERP systems such as Eque 2.
- Coordinate logistics activities to ensure timely delivery of materials and products, maintaining accurate records throughout the supply chain.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to uphold product standards and facilitate inspections or audits as required.
- Maintain organised documentation related to procurement transactions, supplier records, and quality reports.
- Maintain organised documentation related to Supply Chain and Subcontractors pre qualification checks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining procurement procedures and enhancing supply chain efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience working with ERP systems such as Eque 2 and Xero is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with supply chain management, logistics coordination, and merchandising practices.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Previous exposure to procurement processes within manufacturing or retail environments is preferred.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
- Ability to analyse data related to supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
