We are looking for a practical, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our growing team as a Glass & Glazing Workshop & Installation Technician.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a new venture built upon many years of experience within the glass and glazing industry. We are assembling a small, skilled team and are looking for people who want to be involved in the early stages of a growing business where their contribution genuinely matters.
If you enjoy variety, working with your hands, being out on site and seeing projects through from start to finish, this could be the perfect role for you.
The Role
No two days are the same.
Your duties may include:
- Manufacturing specialist glass products
- Assembly and sealing of insulated glass units
- Processing switchable glass and privacy glass products
- Workshop assembly and preparation work
- Goods in and goods out
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Delivering products to customers and sites
- Assisting with site surveys and measurements
- Installing glass and glazing products on site
- Supporting project installations throughout the UK with overnight stays
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop
Projects may include:
- Switchable glass and privacy glass
- Switchable privacy films
- Fire-rated glazing systems
- Glass partitions and screens
- Balustrades and Juliet balconies
- Shower screens and mirrors
- Bespoke architectural glazing installations
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will be:
- Practical and hands-on
- Reliable and punctual
- Well presented and professional with customers
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in both workshop and site environments
- Willing to learn new skills and products
Essential
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Good work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to carry out manual handling tasks
Desirable
- Experience within the glass and glazing industry
- Installation experience
- Workshop or manufacturing experience
- Construction or trade background
- CSCS Card
