What it's like to work here:We care for some of the most iconic and beautiful coastal sites in Wales, including a third of the Pembrokeshire coastline. We are proud to look after a diverse range of sites from sandy beaches, dramatic cliffs, woodlands, historic gardens and a small Tudor house.
You’ll be primarily based at Stackpole, but will have the opportunity to work from other sites and occasionally from home. We're a flexible employer and supportive of helping you find a healthy work-life balance.
We have an energetic and dynamic team, who are very passionate about nature and people, and we are looking for someone with the right skills and enthusiasm to join this team.
We are a busy portfolio, especially during the summer holidays and so you’ll be required to work the occasional weekend and bank holiday.
What you'll be doing:The National Trust is a busy organisation that has a lot going on at all times - you can guarantee that no day is the same, so you'll have to love variety and working at pace. You and your team will provide administrative and practical support to the Operational teams and will also play an important role in ensuring that our portfolio hub based at Stackpole is operational seven days per week, as this is the main point of contact for all our enquiries across a large and diverse portfolio.
You’ll be responsible for accurate record keeping and data management, financial management and reporting: all money management, including banking, petty cash, and supporting the team with compliance tasks and administration. You'll manage all systems and processes and lead in any training that may be required, including financial management and budgeting. You’ll be a champion of best practice when it comes to business services and will confidently challenge process and procedures when change is needed to adapt and reshape to our new ways of working and newly structured portfolio.
You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what’s possible in this role.

- A role model and leader with good people management skills, who is able to create a vision and encourage others to follow you to make it happen
- A strong communicator who can confidently and clearly present their ideas and those of others
- A strategic thinker who is able to understand how things fit together and spot the opportunities that appear
- A process thinker with an enquiring mind who loves to explore the intricacies of how things work and what we can do to improve them
- A confident multi-tasker, happy to roll their sleeves up and help us get the job done and able to prioritise own workload
- A skilled IT user, happy to learn and explore new technology and systems as well as share the knowledge with others
The packageThe National Trust has the motto ‘For everyone, for ever’ at its heart. We’re working hard to create an inclusive culture, where everyone feels they belong.
