Position Overview
As a Delivery Van Driver / Drivers Mate, you’ll be a key part of our nationwide kitchen delivery operation. This is a dual‑purpose role where you’ll regularly work as part of a two‑person team, either driving a delivery van or acting as a Driver’s Mate, sometimes alongside an HGV Class 2 Driver.
This is a physically demanding, customer‑facing role involving heavy lifting, long‑distance travel and representing the DIY Kitchens brand at customers’ homes.
What You Will Be Doing
- Working as part of a two‑person delivery team delivering fully assembled kitchens across the UK
- Acting as a Delivery Van Driver or Driver’s Mate, either in one of our small delivery vans or alongside an HGV Class 2 Driver
- Driving a DIY Kitchens branded van on designated routes when required
- Ensuring loads are secure before and during transit
- Safely unloading heavy, bulky kitchen units at customers’ homes
- Providing professional, friendly customer service at every delivery
- Completing deliveries using a handheld scanner
- Keeping vehicles clean, tidy and roadworthy
- Communicating clearly with customers and the transport team regarding routes, delays or issues
- Being flexible and prepared for overnight stays when required
- Acting as a positive and professional brand ambassador for DIY Kitchens
About You
You’ll be a great fit if you are:

- Positive, friendly, and confident when speaking to customers
- Reliable, punctual, and a great team player
- Able to adapt to working with different colleagues depending on route plans
- Comfortable with overnight stays when required
- Well-organised with good attention to detail
- Passionate about delivering great service
- Experienced in delivery, logistics, warehouse, or drivers mate roles (preferred but not essential)
- A full UK driving licence
