Richmond Health Care Services is looking for caring, reliable, and compassionate Support Workers to join our Adult Support team in Dagenham.
We support adults with mental health needs, physical disabilities, dementia, sensory impairments, and complex care needs to live fulfilling, independent lives within their communities.
Whether you have experience in care or are new to the sector, if you have the right attitude and a genuine passion for helping others, we’d love to hear from you.
What the Role Involves
As a Support Worker, you’ll build positive, trusting relationships and provide person-centred support to help individuals achieve their goals. Your role will include:
- Supporting with daily living tasks, personal care, meals, and routines.
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and community involvement.
- Supporting appointments, activities, hobbies, and access to local facilities.
- Providing reassurance, emotional support, and companionship.
- Supporting with medication in line with company procedures.
- Completing daily records and care documentation.
- Working as part of a team to promote dignity, choice, and wellbeing.
- Day shifts and waking night shifts on a rota basis.
What We’re Looking For
- A caring, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Good communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
- Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work flexibly across a rota, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Experience supporting adults with disabilities, mental health needs, dementia, or complex care needs is required.
- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care is desirable.
- Ability to follow care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures is required.
Experience is valued, but we provide training and ongoing support for the right person.
