We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Afternoon School Cleaner to join our team during term time. As an Afternoon School Cleaner, you will play a key part in maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, creating a positive learning atmosphere from the start of each day. Hours
Monday to Friday 15:30 - 19:00
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas before the start of the school day
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces to maintain hygiene standards
- Restock cleaning supplies and ensure all equipment is in proper working order
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling protocols are followed
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents or contamination
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and efficiency while working independently or as part of a team
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and safety procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment during early morning hours
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness
- Reliable punctuality and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work independently with minimal supervision
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and moving cleaning equipment throughout the shift
