This is a fixed-term post until March 2027, with the possibility of a 12-month extension, subject to grant funding.
As a Business Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the MARAC Coordinator and the wider Domestic Abuse Service. This includes assisting with the coordination and delivery of MARACs and other multi-agency meetings, preparing agendas, taking accurate minutes, and ensuring effective recording and reporting of data. You will also contribute to strong partnership working across agencies.
MARAC (Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference) is a victim-focused forum where key agencies come together to share information and manage risk for individuals experiencing high-risk domestic abuse.
Our Domestic Abuse Service provides a victim-led, trauma-informed approach to risk management and safety planning across all risk levels-high, medium and standard.
About the role
In this varied and rewarding position, you will:
Support the organisation and administration of MARACs and related meetings
Prepare agendas, take detailed minutes, and maintain accurate records
Collect, analyse, and report on data to support service delivery
Work collaboratively with statutory and voluntary sector partners
Undertake direct work with victims, including triaging referrals and assessing risk
Contribute to safeguarding processes and the management of risk for individuals and families
About you
We are looking for someone who:
Has an understanding of partnership working across statutory and voluntary organisations
Is committed to supporting victims of violence against women, domestic abuse, and sexual violence
Has strong organisational, communication, and administrative skills
Is confident in handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality
Can work both independently and as part of a multi-agency team
Experience or knowledge of working within domestic abuse services or a related field would be advantageous.
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
A Standard criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
