Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and set the tone for an authentic, welcoming dining experience
- Share knowledge and enthusiasm for our menu and African culinary heritage with guests
- Manage reservations, walk-ins, and seating plans to keep service flowing smoothly
- Coordinate with servers and management to optimise table turnover and guest satisfaction
- Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns promptly and courteously
- Maintain an organised, accurate waitlist during busy periods
- Support the team with planning and preparation ahead of service
- Keep the reception and waiting areas clean, tidy, and inviting
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure a seamless guest journey
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Host/Hostess or similar front-of-house role
- Strong knowledge of hospitality standards, with an appreciation for African cuisine and culture a plus
- Warm, friendly, and approachable manner with excellent people skills
- Proven ability to thrive as part of a team
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Pay: From £28,000.00 per hour
