Pay: £13.00 per hour
Moods is an independent café, bar and restaurant in the restored First White Cloth Hall in Leeds city centre.
We are looking for experienced baristas who care about coffee, customer service and consistency. You will be part of our daytime café team, serving high quality coffee in a busy and stylish city centre venue.
The role
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing espresso based drinks to a consistently high standard
- Dialling in the grinder and monitoring coffee quality throughout the day
- Steaming and pouring milk confidently
- Providing friendly and efficient customer service
- Taking orders and processing payments
- Preparing the coffee station before service
- Cleaning and maintaining coffee equipment correctly
- Restocking milk, coffee, cups and other supplies
- Supporting the café floor and counter when required
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous barista experience
- Can work confidently on a commercial espresso machine
- Understands grinder adjustment, extraction and milk preparation
- Works quickly while maintaining quality
- Is friendly, reliable and organised
- Enjoys working as part of a busy hospitality team
- Can work daytime and weekend shifts
- Has experience in speciality coffee, although this is not essential
