ROLE: Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer (Competent Person)
HOURS: 40 hours per week
LOCATION: Chester, Manchester and Liverpool

The A/C Maintenance Engineer at Mitie is responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, and inspections of air conditioning systems across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with F-gas regulations and all relevant standards.
Role Responsibilities:
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, and inspections of air conditioning systems across multiple sites
Ensure compliance with F-gas regulations and all relevant standards
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults
Perform refrigerant leak testing and recovery
Complete all required documentation related to maintenance and compliance
Work in line with health and safety procedures
Liaise effectively with clients, customers, and contractors
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support the wider team as needed
Required Qualifications:
Strong technical background including a Level 3 Diploma and relevant NVQ certifications in refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump systems
F-gas Category 1 certification
Minimum of five years' post-qualification experience
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites
Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities
Clear communication skills
Ability to assess and report on equipment condition
Proactive approach to both independent and team-based work
