1:1 Tutor – Stockton-on-Tees
Spencer Clarke Tutors are seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Tutor to support a learner in Stockton-on-Tees on a part-time basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an enthusiastic tutor who can provide personalised 1:1 tuition and help a learner build confidence, re-engage with education and achieve their individual learning goals.
The Role
As a 1:1 Tutor, you will provide tailored educational support either in the learner's home or in a suitable public/community setting, depending on the learner's needs.
You will:
- Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition.
- Adapt lessons to meet the learner's individual needs and abilities.
- Support the learner to build confidence and develop positive learning habits.
- Help the learner make academic and personal progress.
- Build a positive and trusting relationship with the learner.
- Monitor progress and provide appropriate feedback.
- Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a tutor who:
- Has experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- Has a teaching, tutoring or relevant education background.
- Can adapt their teaching approach to individual learning needs.
- Is patient, reliable, encouraging and engaging.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is passionate about helping learners achieve their potential.
Experience supporting learners with SEND, autism, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, anxiety or other additional learning needs would be advantageous.
