Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Volumetric Concrete Driver to join our team. This role involves operating specialised concrete delivery vehicles to ensure timely and accurate delivery of concrete to various construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial driving, mechanical systems, and have experience with excavators. Duties
- Operate volumetric concrete lorries to deliver concrete efficiently and safely to designated sites.
- Ensure the correct mixture proportions are maintained during transit, adhering to project specifications.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure operational safety.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials using excavators or other machinery when necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation in compliance with company policies.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including safe driving practices and site protocols.
- Communicate effectively with site managers and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with volumetric or similar specialised vehicles.
- Mechanical knowledge of lorry systems, including hydraulic components and engine maintenance.
- Experience operating excavators or other heavy machinery is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, colleagues, and site personnel.
- A valid driving licence suitable for heavy goods vehicles (HGV).
