We are seeking a dedicated Night Baker to join our bakery team. This role involves preparing high-quality baked goods during the overnight shift, ensuring products meet our standards for freshness, taste, and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and food production, with experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and specialised items, during the night shift
- Follow recipes and production schedules to ensure timely delivery of fresh products
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all stages of food preparation and baking
- Operate baking equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and proofers
- Monitor product quality and make adjustments as necessary to meet quality standards
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and compliant with health regulations
- Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying management of shortages or expiry dates
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during the night shift
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, food preparation, or baking within a professional kitchen or bakery setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques related to baking and cooking
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Ability to work independently during night hours with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure consistent product quality
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts as part of a rotating schedule if required

Friday night 7pm -3:30am
