Teach South Kent are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Mathematics to join one of our successful secondary schools in East Sussex. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and help them develop confidence and achievement in Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning, maintaining high expectations for all students, and contributing positively to the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
- Monitor, assess and report on student progress, implementing strategies to support achievement.
- Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment that promotes learning and student wellbeing.
- Prepare students for examinations and assessments, helping them achieve their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers and external agencies to support student development.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, departmental improvement initiatives and whole-school activities.
- Uphold safeguarding, behaviour and attendance policies in line with school expectations.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Have experience teaching Mathematics in a secondary school setting.
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Be passionate about raising attainment and supporting student progress.
- Be organised, adaptable and committed to continuous professional development.
- Have a strong understanding of current curriculum and assessment requirements.
