Care Support Worker – Beckenham, South East London
I am looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join my personal care team.
My name is Simon, I am 37 years old and I live at home with my parents and our two cats. I have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and require 24-hour care and support. I use non-invasive ventilation (NIV) continuously and spend most of my time in bed, although I also use a wheelchair and will occasionally require hoisting.
This role is about much more than providing personal care. I am looking for someone who is friendly, engaging and enjoys spending time with me, helping me make the most of each day.
Duties include:
- Personal care
- PEG feeding
- Suctioning
- Ventilation care (NIV)
- Hoisting (when required)
- Light household cleaning
- Providing companionship and support with daily activities
About Me
I enjoy keeping busy and would love to find someone with similar interests. Some of my hobbies include:
- PC gaming and PlayStation 5
- Building LEGO
- Watching films and TV series
- Football
- Motor racing

What I'm Looking For
- Previous care experience is preferred.
- A caring, patient and positive attitude.
- Punctual, reliable and flexible.
- Willingness to work as part of a small team.
- Ability to cover colleagues' shifts during annual leave or sickness when required.
Full training for the role will be provided, including any specialist training required.
Hours
This is not a live-in position.
Available shifts:
- Day Shift: 1 pm – 9:45 pm
- Waking Night Shift: 9:00 pm – 7:00 am
Pay
- Day Shift: £15.75 per hour
- Waking Night Shift: £155.00 per shift
Pay is every four weeks. This is an employed position and includes:
- Holiday pay
- Sick pay
- Ongoing training
Pre-employment Requirements
The successful applicant will be required to:
- Complete an Enhanced DBS check.
- Provide proof of their right to work in the UK.
