Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring a smooth and hygienic environment for food preparation and service. Duties
- Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen staff.
- Support the organisation of storage areas, including stock rotation and inventory management.
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and other kitchen areas throughout shifts.
- Help with waste disposal and ensure recycling procedures are followed appropriately.
- Support the overall organisation of the kitchen to facilitate efficient food service operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and hospitality services.
