Contamac manufacture polymers for contact and intraocular lenses (used in cataract surgery) and are based in Saffron Walden. Our Semi Finished Lens production line is a newly developed process that is growing rapidly.
We are recruiting for Operators to undertake the various day to day activities which supports the manufacturing of semi-finished intraocular lens (IOL). The role includes dispensing of the monomer mixture and the inspection of the final product prior to it's dispatch. This role is predominately situated in a clean room environment, where appropriate PPE must be worn throughout your working day. Although full training is given, interest or experience within a scientific and/or production environment is beneficial but not essential.
You must be reliable, eager to learn, enthusiastic and able to work independently and be a team player . Accuracy and consistency are paramount skills for this role, alongside excellent verbal and written communication skills being essential.
Local to Saffron Walden (< 45 min commute, as the role is onsite daily).
