Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Guard/Steward to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the environment through surveillance systems, conducting patrols, and providing assistance in emergency situations. Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks
- Monitor surveillance cameras (CCTV) to oversee activity within and around the site
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and reporting suspicious behaviour or thefts
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including administering first aid when necessary
- Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and observations
- Control access points by checking identification and issuing visitor passes as required
- Assist with crowd control during events or busy periods to ensure safety and orderliness
- Collaborate with local authorities or emergency services when required
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security or stewarding roles is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention techniques
- First aid certification is highly advantageous
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour
- Physically fit with the ability to stand for extended periods and patrol large areas
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings or weekends if necessary
