London Decorators Merchants (LDM) is an independent paint and decorating merchant serving professional decorators, contractors and trade customers across London and the South East.
We are looking for a Trade Counter Sales Assistant to join our busy Ponswood branch.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be serving customers, mixing paint, preparing orders, receiving deliveries and helping to keep the branch running smoothly.
No two days are the same and we're looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy trade environment and being part of a hardworking team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Serving customers on the trade counter
- Providing product advice and recommendations
- Mixing paint and preparing customer orders
- Receiving and putting away deliveries
- Maintaining stock levels and branch standards
- Building relationships with regular trade customers
What We're Looking For
- Previous trade counter, merchanting or customer-facing experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A positive and reliable approach to work
- Someone who enjoys working as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
Experience within a paint merchant, builders merchant, hardware merchant, trade counter or similar trade environment would be highly advantageous.
Hours
Monday to Friday: 7.00am – 5.00pm
Saturday: 8.00am – 2.00pm
42 hours per week, working every other Saturday.
