Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and versatile Café All Rounder to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing a variety of food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food safety, possess barista experience, and demonstrate strong organisational skills to ensure smooth daily operations. Duties
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to quality standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, and other light snacks
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously at the counter or table
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all aspects of work
- Operate cash registers, handle transactions accurately using basic maths skills
- Keep the café clean and tidy by cleaning tables, equipment, and work areas regularly
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to prepare food items efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Friendly demeanour with good communication skills
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
