Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Cleaning Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within private homes and commercial premises. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for cleaning and customer service, looking to work in a supportive environment. Prior experience in janitorial, hotel, or commercial cleaning is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. A friendly attitude and attention to detail are essential qualities for this position.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces
- Ensure all areas meet the company's cleanliness standards and client expectations
- Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment efficiently and safely
- Assist with organising supplies and maintaining cleaning equipment in good condition
- Respect client privacy and confidentiality at all times
- Occasionally assist with light organisational tasks such as laundry or organising items within the property
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs politely and professionally
Requirements
- Previous experience in janitorial, hotel, or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to work independently and efficiently without supervision
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow health and safety guidelines diligently
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties which may involve bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- Someone who is dynamic and outgoing
