We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
- Support the procurement process by obtaining quotations and analysing tenders
- Monitor project costs and identify potential overruns or savings opportunities
- Assist in the preparation of contractual documentation and valuation reports
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure cost-effective solutions
- Maintain accurate records of project expenses and variations
- Contribute to risk management by analysing cost-related risks and providing recommendations
- Support the team in conducting site visits to assess progress and verify quantities
Experience
- Recent graduate with a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Knowledge of cost control techniques within the construction industry is highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Proficiency in MS Office applications; experience with industry-specific software is a plus
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop technical skills
