FOOD SERVICE ASSISTANT (10–15 HOURS PER WEEK)
Location: Barking, Dagenham & Ilford
Hours: 10–15 hours per week, Monday–Friday (typically 11:30am–1:30pm)
Contract: Permanent, Term-Time Only
We’re looking for reliable and enthusiastic people to join our school catering team.
As a Food Service Assistant, you’ll help prepare and serve school meals, set up dining areas, wash up, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and support the kitchen team to deliver a safe and efficient lunch service.
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Is available Monday to Friday during school lunchtime hours
- Can reliably travel to schools in Barking, Dagenham or Ilford
- Is comfortable working in a kitchen environment
- Is happy carrying out cleaning, washing-up and food preparation duties
- Has good spoken and written English
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn
Experience is welcome but not essential. Full training will be provided.
Please note:
- Enhanced DBS clearance is required
- This is a physically active role involving standing, lifting, cleaning and kitchen duties
- Candidates must be able to commit to the advertised hours and location
