Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Supply Teaching Assistant to support classroom activities across various educational settings. The successful candidate will assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons, supporting students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities and autism. Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering lesson plans and classroom activities across different subjects and age groups.
- Assist students with special educational needs, including those with disabilities and autism, ensuring they are fully included in learning activities.
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to help students improve their understanding of subject matter.
- Mentor and motivate students, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support students with behavioural or emotional challenges by implementing personalised strategies under teacher supervision.
- Help maintain a safe, organised, and stimulating classroom environment by preparing materials and managing resources effectively.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student progress and well-being.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in educational or care settings is desirable.
- Knowledge of special education needs, including working with individuals with disabilities and autism.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents.
- Previous experience in tutoring or mentoring is advantageous.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting children's development and learning.
- Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and support diverse learner needs.

Pay: £14.25-£16.82 per hour
