As part of our CP7 Buildings Asset Management (BAM) framework, you’ll contribute to maintaining and enhancing rail building assets across the North West & Central region within a long-term, secure contract environment.

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team in Warrington, supporting a high-volume programme of reactive, planned and minor works across Network Rail assets.
This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced framework environment, where no two days are the same—covering everything from station facilities and structures to repairs, minor works and asset renewals.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the commercial success and financial control of the framework:
Commercial & Financial Management

Manage costs across multiple projects, ensuring delivery within budget and to forecast

Prepare and manage valuations, CVRs, forecasts and final accounts

Support profit performance through effective cost control and reporting
Framework Delivery

Work across high-volume, low-value reactive and planned works within the CP7 BAM framework

Support delivery teams in achieving programme, cost and quality targets

Monitor project performance, including variations, early warnings and change control
Subcontractor & Supplier Management

Manage subcontractor procurement, performance and payments

Build strong relationships across the supply chain to drive efficiency and value
Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate closely with Operational teams, Commercial Managers and clients

Maintain strong working relationships with Network Rail and internal stakeholders
About You
We’re looking for a commercially aware and driven Quantity Surveyor who thrives in a dynamic project environment.
You will bring:

Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering, rail or construction

Knowledge of maintenance frameworks or infrastructure projects (rail experience desirable)

Strong understanding of NEC or Network Rail forms of contract

A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (HNC/HND/Degree)

Strong communication, organisation, and analytical skills

The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
