About the Role
We are happy to announce a new full-time position for a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Trainee based in Radstock or surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity to commence and solidify a career in the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) industry while working towards your overall F-Gas Certification.
The role will primarily work alongside experienced engineers, assisting the installation team carrying out works on-site at customer locations. You will gain knowledge and be guided through your technical development to support your on-going training.
Responsibilities (not limited to)
- Assist Engineers on site with Air Conditioning & Refrigeration installations
- Handle equipment which will include manual handling
- Assist with installation of pipework, containment and associated supplies
- Learn to commission HVAC and Refrigeration systems
- Communicate effectively with customers
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with current regulations.
You will be expected to make your own travel arrangements to our offices each day, but will commute to client sites with an engineer in a company vehicle.
Essential Skills / Experience
- Valid work authorisation to work in the UK
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to use your own initiative
- Flexible and can-do attitude
- Full, Clean driving license
Remuneration & Package
- Dependant on experience, contracted 40 hours per week
- Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week + overtime rate once exceeded
- On-call allowance
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays
