Nursery PractitionerJob Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early years team. In this role, you will play a key part in creating a warm, nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where children can thrive, develop confidence, and reach their full potential. Working within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, you will support each child's individual learning journey through engaging, play-based experiences while building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development in line with the EYFS framework.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress, using observations to plan for each child's next steps in learning and development.
- Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, naps, and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Create and maintain a clean, organised, inclusive, and welcoming environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and learning.
- Build positive partnerships with parents and carers, communicating effectively about children's progress, achievements, and daily experiences.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain outstanding standards of care, learning, and professional practice.
- Complete daily administrative tasks, including attendance records, planning documentation, observations, and health and safety checks.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant childcare legislation, nursery policies, and statutory requirements.
- Promote and uphold a strong culture of safeguarding, remaining vigilant at all times and following safeguarding procedures to protect the welfare of every child.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting.
- A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and child development.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures, with a commitment to promoting the safety and wellbeing of all children.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills with the ability to support colleagues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of childcare best practices, health and safety procedures, and inclusive learning environments.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) is essential/desirable (depending on your requirement).

Pay: £25,420.00-£37,417.98 per year
