The Role
As a Data Architect, you’ll shape how our customers structure, store, and use their most valuable data. You’ll work directly with users to simplify complex data landscapes and design secure, scalable models that support analytics, AI, and real-world operations.
What You’ll Do
- Create and govern conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Translate technical data concepts for both engineers and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Develop standards for data quality, governance, security and compliance (incl. GDPR).
- Champion modern data technologies such as graph databases, vector stores, data lakes, lakehouses, fabrics and meshes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to embed data architecture into products and projects.

- Strong data modelling across multiple subject areas.
- Knowledge of data governance and data standards.
- Understanding of government/defence delivery and security constraints.
- Confident communication across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Interest in enabling AI through better data quality and accessibility.
Desirable:
AWS/Azure/GCP, Python/SQL, graph/ontology experience (e.g., Neo4j), data pipelines, national security/defence background.
